The American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) course is an advanced training program designed to enhance the skills of healthcare professionals in the treatment of cardiac arrest, stroke, and other cardiovascular emergencies. This comprehensive course builds on the foundation of Basic Life Support (BLS) and covers advanced interventions such as advanced airway management, the administration of medications, and the interpretation of cardiac rhythms in emergent situation. Participants engage in simulated clinical scenarios that foster critical thinking and effective team dynamics in high-stress situations.

The AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) course is specifically intended for:
Healthcare professionals: This includes physicians, nurses, paramedics, and advanced practice providers such as nurse practitioners and physician assistants who are involved in emergency, intensive care, or critical care units.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel: Paramedics and EMTs who respond to medical emergencies and require advanced skills in managing cardiovascular events.
Critical care and emergency department staff: Medical personnel working in settings where advanced life support is frequently required, such as intensive care units (ICUs), emergency departments (EDs), and cardiac care units (CCUs).
